First Pack Meeting of the Scouting Year The first Pack meeting is typically the third
Thrusday in September at 7:00pm at the St. Pauls Episcopal Church, 68 Grace Avenue. It
will take place in the multi-purpose room. At this time registrations for new scouts only will
take place. For the Tiger Cubs, coaches will be introduced. New Wolf, Bear and Webelos
scouts will be assigned to existing dens. In the event of a large turn out there may need to
have new dens added. General pack information and schedule will also be discussed.

Pack Meetings

Pack meetings are usually on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. These meetings start
promptly at 7:00 pm. There are usually awards, an activity and a snack at each meeting.
Each month a different den takes responsibility for the meeting. This includes setting up
and taking down chairs and tables, and conducting the opening and closing ceremonies.

Registration

There is a semi-annual Registration fee of $75.00, this includes insurance and membership
fees for BSA. For an additional fee of $9.00 your son will receive a subscription to Boys
Life magazine. The subscription will start after the first of the year and continue for 12
months. A check for these fees can be made out to Pack 178. Please write on the memo
line Registration.

Fundraisers

We have one major annual fundraiser for our pack. The first is the popcorn sale. This
information will be handed out and explained at the September Pack Meeting. If you have
any questions please contact the Popcorn Chair.

In place of a pack meetings we have three special events. January is the Pinewood Derby.
In February is the Blue & Gold Banquet. In June is the Cub Scout Picnic. More
information about these activities will be available as we get closer
